Alex and I got to Seattle about a week ago, but I havent been able to update since the place I am staying doesnt have internet. We spent a few days checking out the city and the surrounding area, until Alex flew back east last Sunday. So far Seattle seems like a pretty sweet place. The night Alex and I got in we went and played soccer with Laura and Dave, the two people I'm staying with. The complex we played at was amazing they had 3 Nike turf fields with games going on on each one.
The surrounding area seems pretty cool too, there are huge bodies of water surrounding the city with the Cascade mountains looming in the background, making it one of the prettiest places that I've ever been. The only downer to this is that I found out the other day, is that all of the tallest mountains around here are Volcanos and if they were to errupt, Seattle would pretty much no longer exist. Other than that the city is alright, dont know if I'm really a city boy. Im in the process of trying to find a job which doesn't seem to be going very well. Well Ill keep updating when I can.
Cheers

Keep on Truckin
I dont really know if anyone is reading any of this, but I'll keep on writing as if people are. After the last update, Alex and I headed off to Mt. Rushmore to see what all the hype was about. Once we got off the highway we had to drive a good 30 mintues up and down a few mountains until we came to the monument. We paid out $10 entry fee and followed the hords of people that were making their way down the long walk way that was lined with tall granite pillars. Each of the pillars had 4 flags on them, each from a different state, and noted what state it was and what year it was made a state. After about 5 mintues Alex and I were pretty bored and decided to leave as there was nothing else to see. From there it was one to Cody Wyoming for the night. In the morning we headed off to Yellowstone National Park where we got to see a ton of Buffalo as well as some Mule deer and 3 Bald Eagles. On our way through the park we made a stop at Old Faithful, before heading out to West Yellowstone and on to Missoula Montana where we are spending the night tonight.

First Three Days
Well we are done with our first three days of driving and have just finished eating a delicious dinner of franks and beans in The Badlands South Dakota. Up to this point the only interesting things that have happened are the facts that it cost $18 in tolls just to get through NY another $12 for Ohio and $9.50 on top of that to get through Illinois. Other than that the driving has been pretty straight and pretty flat. When Alex and I got to the Badlands today we were relatively unimpressed at first, until we drove further into the park and were utterly speechless by the sheer beauty of the land that just seemed to drop rapidly in front of us just to rise up again in sharp peaks in another 50feet or so. The sights are pretty much endless at this point. Tomorrow we head to Mt. Rushmore and the Yellowstone. Im running out of battery right now but will post pictures later.
